Tuesday afternoon I closed on the property I’ve been talking about over the past three weeks. I’m super excited to get started on this project and will take you guys along for the journey as I tackle my first real estate investment. There are a lot of unknowns to be sure. I’m not so exited that I let my enthusiasm cloud the reality of just how much work lies ahead. The project element of this endeavor is one of the things that makes it so appealing. To some this would be a huge turn off, but for me it’s another positive part of the experience; at least that is how I feel now. Ask me again in a year…
The next post will be on running the numbers for this project. Until then I will leave you with a picture of my soon to be home/investment:
Congratulations!!!
Thanks Leigh! 🙂
Stoic,
Congratulations! I really wish you the best with the new project. Keep us updated!!!
Best wishes.
DM–Thanks. When I finish it then you can congratulate me. 😉 A long road ahead…
Congratulations! I can’t wait to see what you do to improve the property.
Thank you! I’ve been following your blog for the last week. Looking forward to watching it grow. Have a great weekend!
Stoic,
Come visit my “Pay Off My Rentals” blog. You’ll see how much we have in common. I started on the same journey in 2004 and now own 6 rentals that are compose the foundation to my retirement plan. I share some of my experiences of how I started as well as the journey to now pay them off and increase my monthly income. 3 are paid off and I am rapidly paying off the other 3 while blogging about the journey.
Payoffmyrental,
I will certainly be following your blog now. Thanks for stopping by!
